Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
Well, I think I am…
You see, I can write in my mind and it sounds beautifully poetic, poignant and meaningful. The kind of writing that indeed does make you feel as if you’re wearing the comfiest pants you own and have curled into a soft chair next to a sweet friend with whom you can giggle, belly laugh and cry (probably in that order). But sometimes when I actually sit down to write those words “out loud”, I get jumbled, wondering if you will understand a word I’m writing and instead feel as if you’ve climbed into an unmade bed and now the sheets are tangled up around your legs and you can’t move – EW – the horror of thinking I might be responsible for such a terrible predicament is more than I can stand.
But, I have stumbled upon a challenge…a #write31days challenge, so for the 31 days of October, I am going to write. And I hope you come back. And I hope you’ll leave encouraged. This really big world can be scary, and everyone needs to know they’re not alone.
For 31 days, I think I’m going to write about how a sweet Savior has put some pretty big buts into my life to draw me closer to Him. That’s what I’m thinking before this whole thing gets going anyways and honestly, I’m not sure where it’s going to end up…and I’m ok with that…that’s really part of the fun of this isn’t it? You never really know where you’re going to end up. All you can do is look up, palms open and walk the next step. And, well, if I totally botch this 31 days challenge thing, I’m certain He is able to put a big but in here too. So, if you want to hang with me, come back tomorrow with your most comfiest pants on. You know, the ones that don’t ride up or make you feel like you just finished a yummy steak dinner. The ones that forgive you for missing that zumba class. Then go ahead and wrap your fingers around a warm drink and snuggle into a comfy chair. Take a deep breath. And together we’ll discover how big buts and comfy pants are a most precious pairing.
